2 men have attempted to rob the newsagency on John St Singleton around 4am this morning armed with a tommahawk and iron bar, a 32 year old employee was able to fight the 2 men off and force them out the door.
The 32 year man was taken to hospital and sufferd cuts and brusies as a result of the attack.
The 2 men fled the scence and police are still investigating and are appealing for anyone who may have noticed any suspicious behaviour in the area at that time or who may have CCTV or dashcam vision to contact Singleton Police on 6578 7499 or to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
