Tributes continue to pour in for Bobby

Tributes have continued to pour in for Bobby Palmer after the 54 year old life was cut short in the unprovoked attack.

Shortland devils rugby league club posted the following statement to their Facebook page.

“Vale Bobby Palmer.

It is with great sadness that we advise our current and past members, old boys and friends of the club of the passing of club legend Bobby Palmer. Bobby was taken from us too soon, and will be terribly missed.

Our thoughts first and foremost are with Bobby’s family, and we extend our deepest sympathies to them.

Bobby was Shorty through and through, from playing for the club in his younger days, his service continued right up until this year where he regularly marked the lines at Tuxford Park, and was known to mow the field by push mower after the recent theft of the club ride on.

The club will post details of Bobby’s funeral as soon as they are available.

RIP Bobby, forever a Devil!”
