A 56 year old man from Hawks Nest was walking in Curlew Avenue about 11am last Saturday when he was approached by two males.

One of the males demanded he hand over his wallet, the victim refused and was then punched in the face by his assailant and knocked to the ground. His assailant then tried to wrestle the victim’s wallet away when the victim reached up and took a firm hold of his assailant’s testicles.

Upon doing this the assailant commenced to let out a loud, prolonged, high pitched squealing which caused his mate to flee and attracted a passer by’s attention, who came to the victim’s aid.

At that time the victim released his iron fisted grip on his assailant’s genitalia allowing his assailant to run off, albeit with a strange and pronounced awkwardness to his stride.

The victim sustained bruising and swelling as a result of this cowardly assault.

Police are now reviewing CCTV in attempt to identify the men responsible.
