NSW GOVERNMENT lead by Gladys Berejiklian has been forced to come clean over a major data breach that happened back in April that was exposed by the media today.
We understand a Service NSW employee opened a phishing email which gave access to Service NSW email accounts of 47 staff had been illegally accessed, the department said on Thursday.
The breach has only affected customers who used phone services and over the counter services offered by Service NSW consultants using compromised email accounts.
Meanwhile Gladys Berejiklian has been urging people to use Service NSW even after learning about the breach back on April 22nd.
Services NSW says it will be contacting everyone who has had their personal information leaked.
The NSW Labor Party is calling for more transparent reporting of data breaches.
