Police executed muiltable search warrants in Maryland early this morning in relation to the attempted murder and robbery of man in Sydney’s south west earlier this year.

Police arrested two people in connection with the attempted murder and robbery back in March and investigations continued which lead strike force investigators along with the tactical operations unit to Maryland this morning. Where they conducted sweeping raids on serval properties.

In the first raid a 28-year-old man was arrested and taken to Newcastle Police Station where he was charged with shoot with intent to murder, aggravated robbery with wounding, aggravated robbery in company, special aggravated break and enter armed with dangerous weapon and, malicious damage.

A further two search warrants were executed, at a unit in Mayfield – where no arrests were made – and a unit in Maryland – where police spoke with a 27-year-old adult female.

After checks revealed the woman was wanted on an outstanding warrant, she was arrested and taken to Waratah Police Station.
